Leica Leather Case Guide: M10, Q Series, CL & SL2 — Which One Fits Your Camera?
Leica's lineup covers a lot of ground — classic rangefinders, fixed-lens compacts, an APS-C mirrorless model, and a full-frame mirrorless system — and each body shape needs a case cut specifically for it. Here's a model-by-model breakdown of the Kaza Deluxe Leica cases, so you land on the right one for your camera.
M10, M10-P, M10-R & M10-D — The Classic Rangefinder
One case covers the whole M10 family, since they share the same body. It's built with an enlarged handgrip for a more secure hold — useful on a rangefinder body that doesn't have much to grab onto by default — plus a snug, custom-made fit and a tripod screw so you can mount the camera without removing the case.
Leica Q, Q2 & Q3 — Fixed-Lens Compacts
Each Q-series camera gets its own case (the Q, Q2, and Q3 are listed separately since the body changed slightly between generations), shaped to work with the fixed lens rather than around a generic lens mount. The case includes an open slot for easy battery access and is built to accommodate the lens hood and lens cap without needing to remove anything.
Leica CL — APS-C Rangefinder-Style
The CL case is designed around the 18mm f/2 lens and includes an open slot for battery access. It's also the one model where you get a choice: Standard grip or Enlarged grip, depending on whether you want a slimmer profile or more to hold onto.
Leica SL2 & SL2-S — Full-Frame Mirrorless
The SL2 and SL2-S share a larger, more DSLR-like body than the rangefinder-style M, Q, and CL cameras, so the case is shaped differently to match. It comes with an enlarged handgrip and a choice between two versions: a Standard case, or an SD version with a side cutout for SD card access plus HDMI and charger ports — worth picking the SD version if you swap cards often or tether while shooting.
Picking the Right Variant
The CL and SL2/SL2-S cases both come with configurable options (grip style, SD access) that the M and Q-series cases don't — so before ordering, double check which variant actually matches how you use the camera day to day, not just which one looks better in photos.
